Organizing your recipes

Keep the recipes you save in one place you can cook from.

Recipes pile up in browser bookmarks, screenshots, TikTok saves, and the cookbook on the counter. Suppa brings them into one recipe book on iPhone and the web, keeps a link to where each one came from, and puts the ones you pick on this week's dinner plan.

Bring your recipes into Suppa

  1. Share or paste a link

From a recipe site or a TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube post, share it to Suppa from the iPhone share sheet. Or tap + on the Recipes tab, choose Import a recipe, and paste the link. Recipe-site links don't count toward an import limit.

  2. Snap a cookbook page or a screenshot

In the iPhone app, choose Import from Photo for a cookbook page or a screenshot, or Import from PDF for a recipe saved as a PDF. Suppa reads it and fills in the ingredients and steps for you to check.

  3. Write in the family recipes

For a recipe that only lives on an index card, tap + and choose Write a recipe.

Find the recipe you want on a weeknight

  • Recipe books. In the iPhone app, tap + and choose New book to start one, like Weeknights or Kid wins. You can also pick a book while you import a recipe.
  • Search. Type a dish's name. Suppa looks through your own recipes and across recipe sites, so you can save a close match.
  • The original, a tap away. A recipe saved from a link keeps a View original link to the post or page it came from.
  • Amounts you can check. When a video never says how much, Suppa estimates the amount and marks it with a ~, so you know which numbers to adjust.

From recipe book to dinner

  1. Put them on this week's plan

Put a recipe on Tuesday, then tap to add its ingredients to your grocery list, grouped by aisle.

  2. Cook from it

Cook Mode is free: one step at a time, with timers on the Lock Screen.

  3. Share the plan with your household

Free on every plan. Send an invite link, and each person signs in to their own account to see and change the same plan and grocery list.

Questions

Can Suppa save recipes from any website?

Most recipe sites work. Share the page or paste its link, and Suppa saves the ingredients and steps with a link back to the original. Recipe-site links don't count toward an import limit.

Can I move my recipes from another app?

Suppa doesn't import a whole collection from another app at once. Share each recipe's original link again, or screenshot the ones you typed yourself and use Import from Photo. Suppa's switching guides cover Paprika, ReciMe, AnyList, Plan to Eat, and Samsung Food.

Does it work on Android or a computer?

Yes, in a web browser. Sign in at suppa.cooking to save recipes from links, search, and plan dinners. Importing from photos and PDFs, and sharing from other apps, work only in the iPhone app.

Is Suppa free?

Yes. Importing from links, videos, and photos is free, and so are meal planning, grocery lists, shared plans, and Cook Mode. The free plan also includes a few Suppa Assistant messages a month. Suppa Plus adds far more, plus more video and photo imports each month. Paid plans start at $9.99 a month. If you're eligible for a free trial on iPhone, you'll see it before you subscribe.
